Seville - The Heart of Spain

I have been listening to Rick Steves give an overview of our trip.   He says that the further South you go, the more you feel the nature of Spain.    Fred had a client who went to Spain early in his life and goes back every couple of years.   He and his wife have no desire to go elsewhere because "Spain has it all".    Well, we are arriving to this city and expecting a lot because it certainly comes with high praise.  The picture abovery is the 1929 world's fair.   The depression kept everyone from v Coming and it was only open a few months. The moat around the world's fair is all tile as are all the spires. There are tile murals of each region around the basecond and balconies.  Man, what these people can do with tile. Sevilla, the capital of Spain's southern AndalucĂa region, is as soulful a place as I've (Rick Steves) ever been. It's a wonderful-to-be-alive kind of town, buzzing with festivals, heat, color, guitars, and castanets.
